The 75SM99 is apparently going to get LG’s new top-of-the-line Alpha 9 Generation 2 chipset, while all the other new NanoCell LCD TVs will get the Alpha 7 Generation 2 chip. The 75SM99 needs the extra horsepower, presumably, to drive all those extra pixels it has.
