Of course, it’s very unlikely any of those models will be able to offer the same viewing angle capabilities as this set. We’ll need more time with the TV to offer a full judgement, but the SM9500 is looking like a very solid option for users who want a versatile living room display capable of higher brightness than an OLED while still maintaining strong viewing angles.

Here’s something you don’t see every day: Best Buy has shaved $300 off the shelf price of one of LG’s high-end 70-inch 4K Smart TVs, dropping the price from $1,000 down to a thriftier $700. The model at hand is a good one, too — it’s a member of the UK6190 Series, which have received stellar reviews across the board.

For my money, the single most significant new feature is HDMI 2.1 certification for all four of the C9âs HDMI ports. Screen sizes: 43 inches ($427.99/£549), 49 inches ($497.99/£NA), 55 inches ($600/£799), 58 inches ($647.99/£NA), 65 inches ($900/£1,099) and 75 inches ($1597.99/£1,999)
While the high definition channels were watchable enough, the same can barely be said for standard definition. The low picture quality was distracting and unpleasant to watch. But as someone who rarely watches regular TV, this isn’t a deterrent. I just want my online, gaming, and occasionally Blu-Ray content to look banger.
