Deals on 4K TVs this week: Save on Sony, LG, Sharp, Samsung, and more | 49 Inch Uhd Tv

The selection of 4K Blu-ray movies is pretty decent, but 4K television shows are lagging behind. Platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime currently offer the best 4K selection for TV shows (like Breaking Bad and Homecoming), but the options are much smaller for non-streaming. HBO’s Westworld is one current show that’s released its first two seasons in 4K, but there are several other shows that would be must-haves in ultra-high definition.

Why do we say "this weekend is a great time to buy a new 4K TV" every weekend? We genuinely think everyone deserves one, that’s why.

I’m so impressed with how far Vizio has come in the last few years, and its P-Series TVs are a prime example of excellent TVs at affordable prices. You get 4K Dolby Vision HDR, gorgeous color, Vizio’s smart TV platform, and built-in Casting abilities.

Should you be the same (picky, that is) about color matching and the like, there are a plethora of tweaking settings if the defaults and brightness, color, and tint controls don’t cut it for you. It’s rare these days for a TV to come from the factory with poorly adjusted color, and the H8F’s wasn’t, but if you want to have at it, by all means.

AIFA i-Ctrl smart home device: With this, the consumer can control all their IR remote devices from anywhere, anytime all around the world using your smartphone. It doesn’t require any wiring or sensors.  he/she just need to plug it in and conduct a first time setup with their smartphone using Alfa’s official app AIFA i-Ctrl and you are all set.  It works like a universal remote which doesn’t require any specialization or technician to get it installed. You can install it yourself easily. It is also Alexa enabled which helps you controlling all your devices via voice.  It costs 3,799 on e-commerce sites.

The 75SM99 is apparently going to get LG’s new top-of-the-line Alpha 9 Generation 2 chipset, while all the other new NanoCell LCD TVs will get the Alpha 7 Generation 2 chip. The 75SM99 needs the extra horsepower, presumably, to drive all those extra pixels it has. 

Aldi may not be a retailers that’s as well known as Best Buy or Amazon for deals by most consumers but it too puts out its own 4K TV discounts on certain brands. And if they may not always have the widely known reputation of their relatives from Sony, Vizio, Samsung or LG, they’re at least reasonably affordable and fairly good too.

Other features of the TV itself include support for HDR content, two 8 watt Onkyo speakers with Dolby audio, customizable inputs so you can reach your personal favorite content faster, and 178-degree viewing angles. The connection options include three HDMI inputs and one USB input. One of the unsung features of the Fire TV is you can use a storage device connected to the USB port to extend the pausing of live TV from two minutes to 60. You’ll also find built-in parental controls to help you block unwanted content and check ratings for programs you don’t know.

Samsung’s RU8000 series of 4K TVs have accurate colors, loads of features, and a thoroughly Samsung-centric philosophy.

Not quite as feature-packed or smart as the LG, but with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+, ensuring you don’t have to pick one dynamic metadata format over the other, there’s a lot on offer from this Ambilight-donning OLED alternative.
