This chip uses Intel’s LGA 1151 socket and is part of the Coffee Lake refresh. It’s based on the 14nm manufacturing process, features a base clock of 3.7GHz and a boost clock of 4.6GHz. It has six cores with six processing threads, a TDP of 95W, and 9MB of cache. It does not come with a cooler, but does feature a three-year warranty.
Overall Picture Performance The overall picture quality of the Toshiba Fire 4K TV is not stellar, but neither is it terrible. For example, this 4K TV performs almost identically to Samsung’s NU7100 while costing a decent amount less. Furthermore, the Toshiba Fire is a much better performer at key display specs than any of LG’s low-priced 2018 LCD 4K TVs and it’s cheaper than most of them too. Thus, you-re getting plenty of decent quality in this model even if few of the specific display specs are excellent. The 4K resolution looks as fantastic as it ever does for any native ultra HD content you watch on the Toshiba Fire, and this TV’s upscaling engine is great at making 1080p and 720p content look much better than it normally would. Furthermore, while the Toshiba Fire lacks really robust HDR chops, it does deliver some very decent color reproduction partly due to its 10-bit color capability and spices this up even further by being genuinely strong at black level uniformity and at contrast.
The C9 not only delivers deep blacks and shadows, but renders pixel-level precision when it comes to the bright parts of the picture. Since OLED is self-emissive and thus doesn’t rely on local dimming, there’s no danger of blooming or haloing – those white ‘outlines’ around specific subjects against dark backgrounds – just clearly defined highlights. As an added bonus, OLED also has very wide viewing angles.

The E9 uses a glass panel that juts out from the bottom of the OLED screen. It’s a similar design to the E8P, but instead of a small silver foot in the center of the TV, the entire base is located behind the glass. The heavy, wide metal foot keeps the E9 standing securely, while sitting far back enough that you can only see the glass at a casual glance, reinforcing the illusion that it’s floating in the air. The supporting glass peeks out a tiny bit from behind the sides and top of the OLED panel, producing a micro-bezel framing the TV, around a thin black border that outlines the active part of the OLED.

The Shinco 55-inch TV has 2 front firing speakers and it is possible that because of the front firing nature of the speakers, they sound clearer that what we have seen in this price segment. There is a clear channel shift when objects move from left to right or vice versa on screen. This is evident in motorcycle chase sequences or when a plane flies across the screen and during gaming when a firefight ensues.
It uses a novel manufacturing process applied to existing LCD technology. Hisense takes two LCD modules — the sheets that contain the millions of tiny pixels that combine to create the picture on a TV — and bonds them together, one in front of the other, with an LED backlight shining through both. It’s like extra meat on an LCD sandwich.
Speaking of gaming, the C9′s input lag in game mode is staggeringly low at 13ms, regardless of whether you’re playing in HD, 4K, SDR or HDR. So serious gamers are sure to be delighted by the response time, as well as the support for VRR and ALLM. Some may have concerns about image retention during marathon gaming sessions, but LG employs safeguards to mitigate the risk.
Because prices for large panels, such as 65-inch models, are thought to be considerably above the break-even point, Companies benefiting from Chinese government largesse appear to believe they can mark down prices further. Their rivals elsewhere complain the subsidies give Chinese suppliers an unfair advantage.
